Awesome shaded trail. I brought my 6 kids(ages 6-16) on the trail with a lot of success. We went to the boulders first(amazing) then went towards the waterfalls of mill creek and Barr creek. Next time I would have gone to the waterfalls first. For the kids it’s just walking and some looking. I loved the view of the waterfalls. However going to the boulders is a lot more interactive with some rocks to climb in the trail and playing in a little area next to the rapids. With amazing views of boulders and rapids. Loved the hike. Highly reccommend.

beautiful and quick hike had the kids, so descending to the base of the falls was a no go, will do it next time though.

One of the most beautiful areas in Oregon. There is a vista after a short hike that offers a view of Barr Creek Falls and Mill Creek Falls. I highly recommend visiting Avenue of the Boulders as well which features the rushing Rogue River through a large granite field. Please hike with a personal locator beacon and preferably with a group - the area near Crater Lake has many unresolved missing persons cases.

I wish there were an easier way to get to the waterfall, but it’s an amazing view even without going down! (Didn’t go down this time, had two kids with me!) I didn’t know the trial went so far beyond the second fall.

My visiting family sledded yesterday, icy right now but beautiful. The parking lot was icy so park right at entry.

Very east for children and the less experienced hikers. There is an extremely steep hike down to the falls and you can almost get right under it, so that’s a more challenging option! There is also a way to go to the boulders on the way down, that’s definitely worth a try also! Beautiful view and amazing time down at the base!

Awesome trail, easy unless you decide to take the steep trail down to the base of the falls (lots of fun but tough!). Worth a stop on the way up to Crater Lake.

Short in all directions. The boulders are fun (and slippery). The two waterfalls beautiful. Trail easy to follow, not crowded.

Absolutely beautiful trail tucked in behind the quaint town of Prospect. Worth the drive from Medford and if you’re going over the pass one should absolutely set aside an hour or two to walk this trail. A very easy hike, we had our dog with us and she loved the trail as much as we did.

Very nice short hike. There's a trail, if you can find it, that leads down to the base of the falls. Very steep, but definitely worth it, amazing views. Also made the trip tip Avenue of the Boulders. Another great site to see.

Easy walk but a bit steep in some places. Shady even in midday and good for our little 22-lb. dachshund mix, so it should be a piece of cake for any dog. One trail, two waterfalls, 1.5 miles. That’s my kind of math!

It's a shame there are no angles to get both of these waterfalls in one long exposure photograph, because they're really impressive. It reminds me a lot of Kentucky Falls, but grander.

Arrived just before 11AM. This hike is beautiful and so close to the highway. Snow is on some parts of the trail but overall the trail is in great condition. I recommend climbing down to the bottom of the first falls you'll see. It's pretty easy to reach, especially with a tied off rope allowing easier access, and is such a cooler experience from the river. Also recommend following the trail to the "boulders" along the river. A lot of great places to hang out and relax.

Very nice hike to the boulders and then I went back on the other fork that went along the stream with very nice waterfall to view and photograph. Good beginning to the many hikes that I did on my parts of 2 days venture.

Easy trail to Mill Creek and Barr Creek falls. Just stay on the main wide path and follow it to the right when you come to the first junction. There are signs, so you should find it. If you go left, it'll take you to the boulders. You can scramble down right before Mill Creek if you want to get closer but it is very steep. Worth it if you're able to get down there though. Otherwise, both falls are viewable from the main trail.

Easy, but not well marked trail. May not be super friendly for very young kids as I had to climb over several rocky areas to see mill creek falls. Barr creek falls was a clear hike with very little rocks along the way. Avenue of the boulders was great.
