Wet windy and fun, a great little hike with the tide low we got the wide beach.

Treacherous at high tide! Great views and great walk. Had to scramble up the embankment at FaceRock viewpoint to avoid being swept a way.

We weren’t able to make the entire “trail,” given that I was with my two boys. But it’s a really fun beach to explore and walk around. The sea caves are so cool at low tide!

HikingGreat!

Beautiful hike, beautiful day. What an awesome beach and not many people, at some times we were totally alone. We walked as far south as the river (10 miles round trip), but a local warned us not to cross as high tide was coming and it would get too deep and treacherous to cross for our return.

Got to abandon late in the day so the sun was high, it was hot, and busy. Nice beach to walk but only completed a mile out and a mile back. Would probably suggest it for a morning stroll and with lower tide. But nice beach overall (good for families and young children).

Beautiful Beach. Sand is compact enough for someone to go running or walking. Not too many people.

Such a beautiful Location. The rock formations are stunning. It’s a nice mix of beach, water, and natural rock. Great walk with pup

Rock formations with stories attached to them. Seals frolicking in the surf. Magical place. Do pick out a visible land mark before hiking. Fog suddenly appeared in a matter of seconds, 0 visibility, a bit nerve racking. It dissipated after a while. Be cautious around rock formations at minus tides. My entire leg swallowed by quick sand at base of rock formation! Fellow hikers pulled me out!

What a relaxing hike along the beach and absolutely breath-taking. The ocean booms in your ears and there’s lots of gorgeous wave action. The rock formations are enormous making for quite a sight to see. This is what heaven looks like, I bet.

One of the highlights of our vacation! It was a foggy, chilly morning. The sun finally made its debut around noon. Beautiful rocks - the massive ones and the ones that fit in your hand. Thrilled we got to see a few harbor seals playing near the rocks. Give yourself plenty of time to enjoy this walk on the beach.

This is beautiful! My favorite time to do this is really early in the morning when the tide is out. So much to look at. Driftwood, rocks, starfish, sea anemones, chirping birds and crashing waves. I love this!

This is such a beautiful beach and a nice easy stroll. There's a more adventurous excursion along the jetty where we saw seals playing. A stop at Old Town for shopping and fresh seafood was a perfect ending.

First to Review

The road trip from Northern California to Seattle included a stop on the Oregon Coast. I still remember the sunset and it's worth a visit. I've only been once.
