Alder Trail is a 2.4 mile moderately trafficked out and back trail located near Portland, Oregon that features beautiful wild flowers and is good for all skill levels. The trail offers a number of activity options and is accessible year-round. Dogs are also able to use this trail but must be kept on leash.

Great hike but actually 3.4 miles when done as shown. The parking as shown on this map is actually at the intersection of Dogwood and Keil trail; if you park here, take the leftmost trail and again stay left on Keil trail. This will take you to another parking area closer to the beginning of Alder trail. Keil trail is steep with roots going down to the second parking area FYI. If you want to have a shorter hike and avoid that, go to the next parking area on 53rd. The trail was hardpack today with very few muddy areas. Wildflowers are just about to bloom and trilliums are fading. We crossed paths with about 10 people total.
