The 4T Trail – Train, Trail, Tram, and Trolley. This trek around Portland uses all three transportation types to complete its loop. The trail segment is around 4 miles. There are four main starting points for the trail: Downtown, the Zoo, OHSU, and the South Waterfront. Downtown to Zoo- train, Zoo to OHSU- trail, OHSU- South Waterfront- tram, South Waterfront to Downtown- trolley. To ride the train, MAX Light Rail, and the trolley, Portland Street Car, purchase a Tri-Met pass for $2.50 for 2.5 hours. The tram, from OHSU to the South Waterfront is free if you descend. If you ascend (walking the trail clockwise), it will cost $5.10 (as of August 2019). The tram does not operate on Sundays in the winter. Hours of operation are: Monday-Friday- 5:30am to 9:30pm, Saturday- 9am to 5pm, and Sunday- 1pm to 5pm. It comes every 5 minutes and the ride is about 4 minutes long.
