It's peaceful. Not too much traffic. And as much distance as you need. Even though it's one path, the bridges and curves avoid the straight line feeling. Running next to the water is always peaceful.
Excellent trail to ride even on a mountain bike. There are a few under bridge areas, and areas of grass and loose dirt to get off the path and get your mountain bike dirty. But beware! These are not established areas and I found out quickly the hard way that there are grass stickers everywhere that resulted in 2 flat tires. There wasn't a shortage of bikers riding by willing to help, but i was close to the end and decided to walk my bike back. Moral of the story is, always be prepared even when you're not riding on an actual mountain bike trail. I got caught without any extra tubes, air pump, or a repair kit. Lesson learned...
Great long paved trail to walk, run and road bikes in a quiet environment protected from cars and traffic.
My favorite spot to go run with the jogging stroller as the trails are wide, smooth and mostly straight.
Nice trail. But be warned, if you use the directions from this app it says you've arrived when you are over a bridge next to a Chinese buffet. If you travel down past the buffet a little bit you get to a good parking and starting spot
I haven't done that whole trail only a piece.
you guys say it loops. your map says it a straight away.
Nice and safe trail. I travel a lot & look for safe places to run. I ran 6 miles after working. Not to many hills. Mostly flat.
Great to bike, connects all the way to Lake Overholser and onto Lake Hefner
Nice little morning run
Road this trail as it linked me to Overholser via the West River trail several days a week in the fall of 2015
Great place to run when it is 20 degrees outside as there is no shade from the sun.
