It was CLEAN and not overcrowded. Challenging, but not risky or exhausting. A great time!
Our first trail run since moving here from CO. Had some nice little hills, lots of rocks, and a beautiful view of Mount Scott and the water. Would have given it five stars if it weren't for a couple of houses near the trail. Prefer not to see homes along our runs. Would also be nice to have some porta potties at the trailhead.
Nice, easy trail with great views. Great for school age kids and above. Easy access to take a break by the lake.
Easy trail. What was downloaded from the app was different from the trail markers and mapped trails. Starts out very well marked and then marks disappear. Followed what seemed like a well marked trail but ended up off trail. Open and airy. Had signal. Enjoyed the detours. But the first 1/3 was the most scenic. Very pretty. But then you wrap around behind the lake and not near as scenic. Nice views of lake and mountain in the beginning. Detour to the bench off yellow for a great view.
Really fun trail. Easily traveled, rocky, woods and great views of the lake & Mt. Scott. Hike up to the bench on the overlook and take a break, it’s worth it.
The views of the lake and Mt. Scott are fantastic. Lots of exposure to the wind, though. I'm ambivalent about seeing a housing addition for the majority of the hike. Also there was danger tape strewn across parts of the trail even though we never encountered anything particularly dangerous.
This was my first time hiking this trail. It was pretty easy, nice views and only slightly over grown in spots. Will be doing it again!
All the reviews saying this is not an easy trail are correct. It’s also a bit overgrown in some places, but overall not bad It had rained all day before we went. We had to go around a few puddles, but it didn’t get into my shoes at all We enjoyed it, but certainly not an easy trail. Maybe the easy side of moderate?
This is NOT an easy trail. More appropriately a moderate trail. A bit overgrown in some areas but the trail is fairly well marked. There are three trails all together, and it’s a little tough to stay on the right color. Lots of rock climbing/hopping. We took a three and five year old, and they did pretty good. Beautiful views.
Well marked trail, but very over grown at this time. Spent a lot of time identifying plants and bugs haha Lots of grasshoppers and dragonflies, and some bugs I couldn't identify. Great views on the initial climb, on the return was a lot of woods and the most over grown parts. Not a lot of shade, so plan accordingly!
We really enjoyed this trail but I don’t think I would rate it as easy. There were a lot of up-and-down and loose rocks. We had a young child with us and it was difficult for him. Overall, we enjoyed this trip and there were lots of nice views of Lake Latonka.
Great trail-there were areas where the trail was overgrown but not hard to find the way. We saw a tarantula on the way back, but the views were great. Plenty of vistas to look out and the wild flowers are in full bloom. Overall a fun trail with different landscapes and elevation changes.
