Very nice trail good for beginners and kids. Always in view of homes so not a wilderness trail. Cell service throughout. Well maintained.

this trail was a lot fun. a lot of elevation changes. some areas have loose rock and steep up/downs as you go along. well marked.

Outstanding if you are looking for well marked trails or just getting started on hiking! The path was easy to follow. Not much crowds. Mostly open terrain with little shade. Some cool rock formations, cactus, and scrubs! The view was AWESOME!

Great hike! You can walk to the trailhead from Medicine Park. Saw a lot of tire tracks so I'm certain lots of people mountain bike it as well. Didn't take long (maybe 30 minutes) to get to the top of the hill, with a bench and great view of Mt. Scott, so it's satisfying from the beginning. Trail continues into more forest-y areas. Saw deer and rabbits. We were able to do the trail easily with our dog. I think kids could complete it as long as they had sufficient water and breaks. The trail is mostly granite rock and packed dirt. Trail markers were very easy to follow.

Great easy trail for all skill levels. Was damp a day after a rain the night before so a little mud in spots but running water was pretty. Markers are a little faded but not hard to navigate and great cell signal if you get lost at all.
