Great elevation changes and a nice scenic views. My wife and I really enjoyed this hike. Trail is clearly marked out. It was a little hard finding the trail head at first.

HikingGreat!MuddyOff trailRocky

Started off on Tree Trail and it was lightly raining and decided to just go for it and hit the lookout loop. A nice steep climb up. It continued to rain the entire time I was on the trail. I didnt stop at the top due to the rain and lack of visibility. I Took a spur that looped me back to the tree trail and I was able to check out the creek and a few of the deeper blue pools without anyone else to share the area with. I was slightly disappointed with the amount of trash I saw on the trail. I guess it is pretty typical for a state park trail with 100s of people using it every weekend.

We saw deer on this trail and Tree Trail (adjacent). The hike is tougher than it looks, but fun because of the scenery and "ruins" (won't spoil it).

I would almost put this in the hard category. There are flat parts to catch your breath, but most of the trail is steep climbing. Great view once you overcome it!

The reviews of this specific hike are pretty deceiving. This isn’t a hike you want to take for your first time because of the rocky inclines! It is more hard than medium and you will be out of breath! There’s no lookout but it’s still worth the hike!! I give it 5 starts just because of its difficulty! It brings on a challenge!

Giving it 4 stars cause I wouldn’t really consider it a “lookout” but it was pretty nonetheless! There’s so many trials that intersect with this one so it’s a great state park to enjoy the day in! Plus the nature/visitor center has a free museum you can walk through which is very cool!

Nice trail. Some slippery areas and some parts of trail are like little creeks right now.

Great trail. A bit wet from the rain at the beginning, but fine about 3/4 miles in.

Quiet and peaceful. Beaver Creek Trail, the first portion of Lookout Mountain was flat and easy. More challenging climbing on the rest, but very nice.

I really enjoyed this trail. We hiked with family members ages 9-65 and everyone did great. It's mostly a forest trail, but you do get some nice walking time by the creek as well. It's a moderate trail in places, but it's mostly an easy hike. Would definitely do this trail again on a future visit.

I think this was one of those “it’s the journey, not the destination” trails. True, not much of a view, but the trail itself offers a range of flatness along a small stream and moderate steepness. Solid, decent trail

Steep in parts. Beautiful walk through the woods and parts are adjacent to a pretty shale-lined creek.

Unspectacular in most places. It’s pretty much a walk in the woods climbing up and down the side of a hill, with some interesting features along the way. No views, not even the side of a hill. At the start of the trail you do get to see a little bit of a creek and the ever-present shale. Not worth my two hours.

Really enjoyed this hike. Lots of steep inclines but such beautiful scenery along the way. Lots of rocks and definitely need a map to stay on course. We will do this again. We parked at the visitors center and that was perfect! We went early around 10a before it got crowded

great trail with some good elevation. Scene from the top was blocked by the foliage so didn't give five stars.
