I highly recommend having a gps and a compass if you are considering taking any trails. Every other trail except for the North and South rim is quite overgrown and hard to navigate. The beaten path is hard to follow especially if it was only created by bikes. A thin line of beaten dirt is hard to spot when there is tall grass. There are a lot of spiders in the area and you will have a face full of web every 3 minutes unless you are in the North and South Rim trails. This place is very secluded and I did not find a single person for 9 miles. Also check yourself for ticks! I found a couple on me by the end of the hike! Be safe and always tell someone where you are!
