Very well marked and maintained. Trail markers and pruned trees look as if trail is only a couple of years old. Picnic table at the halfway point is a nice touch. Perhaps brought there by boat. The paying the $3 entry part was confusing because no one was at the window so they got $5.
Good blazes. Trail tacky but in good shape. Blazes are well place for the first mile or two. Sparcer after that.
Reviews are pretty spot on. It isn’t really right alongside the lake as I imagined though so not the most scenic hike. The best place for lake views is at the picnic table at 3 1/2 to 3 3/4 mile point. Saw about a dozen horses on trail and just a few other people hiking. Beautiful day.
Great trail! Challenging mountain bike ride with the family today due to sandy trail conditions in some places. Terrain was curvy and plenty of hills to handle. Good time!
I went 1.6 miles and it was fun. Unfortunately I could t go further because there were so many trees down due to the ice storm.
Very nice trek. The only part I wasn't a fan of was the short stretch down Forrest Hills Rd where you're right on a pretty busy paved road and actually have to get up on a narrow bridge for 20-30 yards dodging traffic like Frogger. That bit wasn't good but the rest was great.
