The K-Trail AKA The Kiamichi Trail The K-trail is an OHV/over-landing route that runs from Clayton, Oklahoma to Mena, Arkansas. There is no gas, water, or food available on the route. The trail changes drastically with big rain storms. Please be respectful of private property that is on either side of the trail. The west side of the trail is generally regarded as the most difficult section. 4 wheel drive, high clearance, traction modifiers, and aftermarket equipment are required. Areas of the trail can become overgrown in spring and summer. Pinstriping of paint is very likely as you drive through tight trails with overgrown brush. The trail is remote, do not rely on others for rescue, bring recovery equipment and extra gas if necessary. Cell phone service is spotty along the trail, it can be helpful to bring radios if you are traveling in a group. The trail crosses pavement at two locations, the Indian Highway South of Talihina, and Hwy63 South of Big Cedar at the Three Sticks Monument. These locations can be helpful to cache water or gas if needed.

West half is CLOSED. East half is medium difficulty, but still a ton of fun. You're gonna get scratches and scrapes in anything larger than a dirt bike. Will be back.

This was an awesome trail. Couple great spots for pictures or to camp. It’s a little hard getting into there due to a windmill company buying the land and blocking a lot of the access but the help of locals took you Right to were you needed to go. Bring lots a fuel as we went from Clayton Oklahoma to Melina Arkansas. Seen a rattle snake, a little black bear, dear... we rode4 wheelers through great time. Wish there was more water. Overall good riding for starters and pros.

First and Foremost - the entrance shown on the map was locked, had to go down to the Windmill Access Road and get a little creative to get back on the actual trail. Trial was great, very technical if your vehicle isn't lifted, you will get lots of scratches, you will get wet but most of it wasn't too deep. Had to use a chainsaw to cut through a mudhole bypass.

Started at the western end. There was a section of trail near the start that had a bypass due to being so washed out. The foliage was very overgrown and there was a lot of trail rash. Glad my light bars are mounted inside a cargo carrier... Found three piles of Bearscat within a mile. Enjoyed the old fire tower. The ruins just down the hill side from it had a amazing view as the sun rose. And there was a gravesite there too. Kudos to whoever left the Coors light on it. We bottomed out a few times along the trail and even got high centered once. Highly recommend it, but I’m glad I didn’t bring my girlfriends jeep JK. It would’ve been ruined with scratches. Beaters are best suited for this imo. Happy trails!

A very nice trail for 4x4 vehicles. The first few miles were pretty easy and didn't require 4WD. After that it got real rocky. Had to air down to help with bumps. There are several great spots to camp. Very peaceful and beautiful.

Love this trail. Might take a few detours here and there. Can really find some fun challenging obstacles out there. Just don’t trespass

Fun, somewhat challenging trail that makes for a great weekend trip from DFW area. The middle section between Indian Highway and the fire tower seems to be pretty torn up recently due to what I'm told is windmill construction on the mountain. The brush has been cut back, but the ruts are getting deep.
