Beautiful falls. The trail itself is not marked well, it's difficult to discern where it goes. There are 3 different trails in the park. they could do a better job marking things with ribbon or paint on trees. Several bathrooms are good! Looks like they've put in some new huts for campers... maybe we come back for an overnight stay.
Love this trail! At points it can feel remote, which I liked. Lots of "lookout" points. Definitely a couple of steep areas, one being coming back up from seeing the carved out rocks area. Definitely a challenge for a newbie (me) but nice and peaceful/relaxing. Will be heading back!
There is something for everyone— Pine is paved and easy, Dripping has the upper (easy) and lower falls (elevation), Ghost Coon is an easy walk in the woods winding with the Disc Golf, Bear is a short downward natural rock connector to Lower Dripping, and Fox Den has caves and creek Crossings (most advanced). Each trail can be accessed from the paved Pine trail. There is something for every fitness level. I recorders them all as one 4.5 mile hike. Not well blazed — needs markings — there are signs are the beginning for all, no blaze marks, and Bear & Coon are marked at the ends.
Very steep with loose footing in and out of the stream, but the views are worth it
Wound our way from Fox Den to Bear to Ghost Coon. Fox Den was my fav, Ghost Coon was pretty... vanilla. Sad we didn’t get to the Dripping Springs trail today.
Beautiful trail but poorly marked. Otherwise we would’ve given it a higher rating
This trail was more complicated that I thought. Not very well marked at all. Thank God for this app with gps to stay on the trail. Steep downhill, had to cross a river and then a very steep climb back up. Should be labeled hard or strenuous. This is much more then a moderate trail. Don’t be fool. Be prepared for quite a hike. Less stars just because it wasn’t marked hardly at all.
We started off on drilling springs and some how ended up on fox den. I need to go back and try again
