Very pretty with lots of wildflowers BUT check the weather first! because it is VERY poorly marked, except for the sections that are very obvious to navigate (those are well-marked) and you don't want to get lost when a lightning storm comes like it did for me. absolutely terrifying and frustrating to come up on multiple dead ends. I know it's hard to mark a trail in the sections that are mostly rocks and no trees, but they should at least try.. very pretty and well-maintained overall though. Also a ranger warned me not to park on the tall grass with the engine running because apparently it can start a fire.

Once you get up to the top it’s easy to lose the trail. Lots of animal trails and people that have gone around to Boulder hop. Really neat at the top. Makes me forget I’m in Oklahoma.

Great trail! Not well marked at the beginning but once you get going the trail is easy to follow. Strenuous! all up hill and lots of rocks to step on. Other than that a great view awaits you at the top!

Easy to see why this is the most popular trail in the refuge. Great payoff for a short hike! Views up top are expansive. When you park, the trail is the first bridge on your left (not the one further back past the (boarded up) restrooms.

Beautiful, rocky trail up to an amazing view! Busy enough when parking that rangers were directing traffic. A bit of traffic and a bit of litter on the trail--please watch that your kids are not dropping their trash!

My first Wichita Mt trail. After crossing the bridge, take a left a couple hundred yards out. The trail isn’t marked and at this point you can easily make a wrong turn and create a delay for yourself.

Please try to stay on trail. It’s not properly marked, but isn’t hard to follow if you pay attention. The Refuge is slow to allow maintenance, and people are quick to create side trails. Keep a look out for Wapiti Cave near the top!
