Claremore Mountain Bike Trail

They have added even more trails just a week ago and are working on more. We just happened to meet the trail boss, Rory, on our way out. Trails are well maintained and marked. We spent about 2 hours and highly recommend the Cloab and Dire Straits trails. We were hiking and worried that it was more for bikes, but we saw other hikers and found it to be equally pleasant for both. The parking lot was packed, but we only occasionally passed other people. Lots of pretty views of the lake. We can't wait to come here again.

Nice casual walk through the woods, circles around a lot. Near Happy lake. Very wooded. Not a bad get away for a quick winter hike

Great trails that they’ve expanded. This app needs to update the map because there are 10 miles of trails now. Great to take the dogs to because it goes around the lake and water is accessible in many places. Trailhead had a lot of vehicles but we didn’t run into many people. Loved it!

What you don't see on this map are the additional trails that have been created along the south side of the lake that extend from the older trails shown all the way back to the dam at the southwest side of the lake by Blue Starr. There are enough miles in all of these trails that you can run them regularly and never get bored. The trails along the lake can get rather technical especially when the trail splits with one path going right next to the water. There are a lot of rocky areas and steep hills. I run with a group on these trails every Thursday and we all love it. We hardly encounter any others using the trail but when we do, everyone is polite and says hello.
If you're trail running, watch your step. These trails are still young and some tree stumps show themselves in the paths and can be easy to trip over.

Excellent trail for rucking (weighted backpack to burn more calories without high impact to knees). The zig zags make the looping seem like fresh trails when done over and over in the same ruck.

Short trail. Narrow with some tight turns. There are some technical areas. I'm going to try this trail again when it cools off a little ticks were everywhere even with the spray. I wouldn't drive a long ways to do the trail but might try it if your going through. It is small but you can do Claremore lakes and run to pryor and do it also if you want to kill a couple of hours
