I stopped for the free primitive camping enroute to other areas. Found nice facilities. Hiked the trail in the morning to stretch my legs before continuing on. Simple hike.

THIS IS JUST A FEW MILES FROM THE WICHITA BATTLEFIELD VISITOR CENTER AND BATTLEFIELD TRAIL. IT IS A GOOD OPTION FOR CAMPING AS THEIR IS NOT AN OPTION AT THE VISITOR CENTER OR AREA TRAIL.

Free primitive camping, though their is a pit toilet, grills and picnic tables, and water. The hike was a simple hike in the surrounding prairie and woods. I stayed the night enroute to other areas to save camping fees.
