Beautiful trail and views. A little steep at times but worth it. It’s actually 1.9 miles long.

Disappointed in the marking and the unkempt trail. We had to turn around quickly because it hasn’t been kept to a trail standard.

This hike starts with a steep decline. It’s easy to miss the turning point by the lake that takes you up a steep hill. Whew. I did a mile with my 4 yr-old on my shoulders. This was a great workout with beautiful views

Not good for beginners if you arent used to it. For a moderate hiker its a good one. Pretty trees, a nice walk to enjoy nature and sweat a lot.

Be careful at the very beginning. You go down not the path that runs behind the cabins. look for the trail markers. This is a rough trail for an out of shape beginner like myself. Good luck finding the short cut.

AllTrails is a little off, this was closer to two miles. Be sure to start at the entrance by the "Belle Starr Loop Trail" sign at the lodge vs across the parking lot, it'll be less rough at the end! I consider myself a beginner/moderate hiker so this was a little strenuous to me but the views made it totally worthwhile. We completed this in a little under two hours.

It’s a fun little trail if you don’t mind lots of rocks and scrambling over a boulder field and up a cliff side towards the end. I’m assuming people who thought this was easy completely missed the turn that goes straight up a steep incline by the lake. Which is super easy to miss if not paying close attention, all you’d have to do is blink. Luckily the AllTrails map help lead me the right direction. The red and white split from yellow at this point. There is a lone white marker at this split, but then it’s red until you pop out on the backside of the conference center.

Trail we’re not in sync with the all trails app... very short, nice otherwise.
