This loop starts at the park office and rides just below the crest of the ridge heading west in the park for about 3.5 miles to the front of the park, near Hwy 69, never crossing the top road of the park loop. Then, the trail heads south toward the Arrowhead Stables. It crosses the bottom road by the stables and continues back to the east on the lake side trail for a bit before crossing the road again to access "Trail 2". Continue on 2 for the remainder of the hike back to the park office, passing the equestrian camp and Lakeview Circle Campgrounds.
