This is a beautiful short hike that ends at a park with a basketball court, tennis courts and a playground. We will definitely come back when we have more time to explore.
A nice, easy loop with a few slippery creek crossings. On the way back we noticed that part of the mapped trail didn’t seem to exist. We crossed the creek trying to find it, and came across a damaged bridge and set of stairs. Back at the trailhead we noticed the ‘trail closed’ sign. It looked like an interesting section and I hope it gets reopened. I also witnessed a first in my 15+ years of hiking: a park employee using a leaf blower to clear leaves from the trail. Dog owners beware - there was a decent amount of broken glass in a few spots along the trail.
Very nice micro-hike. We did the loop clockwise so the incline was first. Pretty views, lots of wildlife.
