A moderately challenging, short trail great for dogs and hiking enthusiasts alike. The trail has seen damage due to windstorms over the years. Portions of the trail may be damaged or closed as a result including a set of stairs along the way.

Was a great place to take my dog to walk/jog on weekdays. Not crowded at all. Seen maybe two other people!

good little trail for a family hike or a quick run. its a short trail so we ran it twice. the trail offers a very nice wooded scene and the potential to see wildlife. would recommend this trail. the trail level i feel should be rated as easy. if you are in even ok shape it may leave you wanting more. not a difficult trail but still very nice and enjoyable

Beautiful trail to hike or jog- I’d rate this more easy to moderate, in comparison to other trails- would be easy with kids, where as California nature park is rated as moderate and is much more difficult

Nice wide trail, in good shape. Mostly gravel, some spots dirt and some spots grass. Part of trail closed due to a bridge being fixed

My dog and I hiked this for the first time and thoroughly enjoyed it. I recorded 2.5 miles though, per Map My Walk app. I’d definitely say this is an easy trail and a great for a beginning hiker. Very little elevation changes. It’s a perfect trail for a hot summer day because it’s all in the shade, unless you complete the loop that goes through the meadow, then you’ll be in the full sun. Trails are gravel and a very nice width.

I’m new-ish to this side of town and just went here for the first time a few months ago. I like to bring my dog right after work for a good run through the woods. The trail is mostly shady and easy to walk. I skip the prairie loop when it’s too hot. I mainly go for exercise, but there are a lot of birds, flowers, foxes, snakes, and turtles. It’s a nice place.

Nice, quiet trail. Wide and well maintained, mulched or gravel in some areas. Not too much elevation change and an okay river view. Makes for a nice shady trail run without seeing many other people. Bonus: repeat the meadow loop a couple times to increase the distance, otherwise it is very short.

Saw my first rufous sided towhee on the Open field part of the hike. There was a group of them hanging out in a vine covered tree. They weren't shy, but finally got fed up with my watching them. Great day for seeing pollinators of all kinds gather the last remains of nectar.

Nice semi loop partly through forest and partly through meadow. The short western loop has been closed for years due to storm damage. The longer eastern loop features some farm relics and a scenic Ohio River overlook. On the easier side of moderate due to the fairly flat terrain. Overall, possibly the best hike in the Hamilton County Park District.

A great quick hike after work. The trail is shaded and winds around with tons of foliage.

It's an alright place. Wish there was more trails and they would fix the part that had a landslide, it's been like that for years now.

Overall it's a nice little hike, well maintained and marked. Just a little too short for me to drive to it.

Great day trail with a beautiful overlook of the Ohio. Also has a nice outdoor wedding area to enjoy.

Very serene. Beautiful overlook of the Ohio River. Interested to come back in late spring when everything blossoms. Lots of birds to see too!!

An easy hike. Took my dog along on leash and was no problem. Perfect for an easy-going hike.

Easy hike along the trail. December is a great time here as I saw a red-bellid woodpecker, a downy woodpecker, and a few birds I didn't recognize. The trail still smells like autumn and you can easily hear critters wrestling in the leaves. It was also nice to see an old man telling his two young grandsons about how life was in his youth.

It's a good trail with nice scenic view. its not long about 2 miles.

A fairly easy loop with well marked trails. There is a porta-potty near the good sized parking lot. A Hamilton Co. Parks parking permit is required but not sure how often they patrol.

This is a great little trail for a quick hike. It is very well maintained with minimal gear required for an enjoyable hike. The entire loop is just shy of 2 miles with a beautiful overlook of the Ohio river as the cherry on top. My son and finished the loop in about 45 minutes. The North section of the trail is closed due to a landslide, however we were able to manage it with minimal extra effort. Obviously, this section of the trail is not in the same condition as the nice gravel, and manicured condition of the rest of the trail. All in all a great hike through the woods.

Great small park with a great view of the Ohio River. I took a few trails, and ended up with 1.73 miles total, so don't expect a long walk! Park and trails are clean and well marked, some are stone trails while others are dirt with stairs cut into the path to help with the climbs.
