This trail is not maintained well if at all. Several trees down, requiring climbing over or ducking under. One made the path impassable, requiring our party to trek through bushes and dangerous terrain, causing one woman to fall and hurt herself. Still slightly muddy even after several days of hot weather and no rainfall. About half of the trail was walking through tall grass and pushing branches out of the way. Horseshoe pond is cute. I suggest returning to your car afterward and save yourself the struggles of hiking this trail.

Still a nice trail. Was surprised how muddy it was after several days without much rain at all. Many fallen trees blocking the trail as well. Clearly hasn't been maintained much in months.

With the exception of the pond, this trail feels very neglected. There's a lot of down trees and branches. Additionally it's a muddy trail in general. We've had very little rain recently and there were several muddy areas all throughout the trail. You definitely need proper hiking boots. Overall it's an easy trail and the Pine tree rows are somewhat interesting, but it's just plagued with hassles that make it less enjoyable.

Trail well shaded. The down side of the trail was that we could not get to the other half ofnthe trail d/t it being overgrown.

I have never seen the tree farm trail with this tiny of an amount of mud. This trail is typically a complete mud pit, but the high temperatures these last few days and the lack of rain has made this trail about the consistency of drying out of Play-Doh. There still are a couple muddy spots, but they are extremely minor compared to what the typical condition is of this trail. It is supposed to rain tomorrow though, so I am sure that this will be back to being a mud pit after that.

Nice trail. Great amount of distance for an easy hike. Nice relaxing pond. However, I highly recommend waiting until it has been dry for several days prior to attempting this trail. Roughly 50% of the trail was a complete mud pit.

Don't try this trail unless you have sturdy waterproof footwear and a sturdy walking stick. Ankle high mud in many sections. Otherwise a nice trail that I will revisit in the dry season.

This trail was very muddy pretty much al the loop due to a recent rain. I will have to try it again in better conditions. The path is well maintain and good one for joggers when is dried. The scenery is very pretty. Enjoy Amigos!

90% of the trail is extremely muddy and wet, I don’t foresee it drying out anytime soon. It was very difficult to hike in hiking boots, very slippery. Expect to be covered in mud! Even though the trail was terrible the view of horseshoe pond is very nice and it was cool seeing the tree farm, but definitely will not be doing it again.

Not too muddy tonight – but I can see where this can be a mess. Awesome view of the tree farm and pine forest!

I love this trail and have been hiking it since I was a kid. Beautiful scenery and fun to walk through the christmas tree farm. My favorite spot is about a mile in where you walk through a short path of pine trees. This path usually isn't crowded, as a decent amount of people come to fish and not hike. As of the last two years or so I've noticed it being very muddy so I will keep this trail for late Summer and Fall.

Picture perfect scenic lake surrounded by groves of conifers broken up by small fields and plantings of small pine trees. The trail itself is either a river of mud or clay or solid roots. Definitely not suitable for people with weak ankles. I doubt this trail is ever dry, but it would be interesting when it is.

Trail is in horrible condition with enormous amounts of ankle deep mud throughout. Probably best done clockwise, which gives you a great view of the tree farm around a mile in.
