Hiking

A great hike with some ups and downs. A few spots that were a bit muddy but can easily be avoided. Some bugs along the way but nothing too bad. Some nice views of the water and some birds on this path. Almost entirely shaded which was nice. Mostly dirt path with some gravel spots. As of today, very lightly trafficked. Easy to find parking. Enjoy!

Definitely a very muddy trail. Recommend a good pair of hiking boots if you decide to hike it rather than bike it. Some good views of the lake, and a nice walking trail but nothing crazy in terms of scenery outside of the lake. Not too many changes in elevation either. Overall it’s a solid hiking trail, nothing great.

Great trail. Only had time to do a mile of it, but plan to come back another day to do the whole thing

Great trail. Helmets are required. Bring bug spray. Trail can be a little soggy in spots until mid summer.

Took the pup there for a nice hike, trails were cluttered with downed trees. Natural occurrences, what can you do. I'm sure they will clean up closer to busy season. Overalll a nice hike, been coming here to camp for years, didn't realize all the different trails until today. Close to home, will always come back. have yet to come during end of winter so nice change of scenery.

I hiked this trail yesterday. It was very peaceful. I like that they maintaine the pathway. If it gets too wet or muddy they put boards, logs, or rocks down. The trail does need to be marked better in a few places though. Especially towards the end. I have no doubt this is probably an awesome trail for bike riding but not one of my favorites for hiking. Oh, also, the trail says 7.2 miles. By the time I was done I was at 8.25. So maybe plan a little extra time in your trip if you decide to hike this trail.

Don't let my rating on this trail deter you too much; however, take note: THERE IS NOTHING EASY about this trail. If you are looking for a moderately hard trail and are an experienced mountain biker with a durable mountain bike then perhaps this trail is appropriate. There are large rocks, narrow passage ways, and roots from trees throughout the majority of the trail that create anything but easy conditions. A hybrid bike is definitely not suitable for this trail. Plenty of shaded areas with some miscellaneous wildlife. Didn't complete trail as both my bike as well as my buddy's bike were slightly damaged, so once again "do not attempt unless you have a durable mountain bike"! If you are looking for a rugged outing then this trail is for you.

For a short period of time, this trail was changed to bi-directional. It has since changed back to CW only and the bi-directional signs have been taken down. There has been a group dedicated to maintaining the trail and it has been in excellent condition. There are also talks of additional trail being added along with a donation bin and new trailhead entrance at the north end of the mountain bike parking lot.

This is an absolutely amazing trail, it's not perfect but the challenge is sweet. It's a little root riddled in areas when dry and makes for a lump ride and a swap currently (May 15th, 2017). I won't likely return until I'm sure it's completely dry. I came to hike the whole loop and 95% of the trail is a swap. I've gone 3 miles in 1.5 hours mostly on a trail of logs and dry patch jumping. It's totally kicked my butt. Also when you finish do a thorough check for ticks or shower here in the camping area, they're nice. Cheers

All of the largest impassable trees have been cut and cleared as of yesterday. There's also been some trimming of hangers and grabbers on a fair amount of trails. Kudos to the staff and volunteers. With the lack of rain the trail is 98% dry and riding well.

Several large trees down again - at least one is impassable. The quicker sections are getting hard packed - nice for some faster runs. A good number of stream crossings could use some clean out. People keep putting debris there to do who knows what. Either fill more debris in to bridge or don't fill it with random crash bait. Stray branches or thorn grabbers need cut. Maybe a work day is in need.

Fun trail to hike, took a lot of ads as my kids and 65 year old father went with me. Had a great time very scenic. if it rains trail will be very sloppy. POISON IVY is everywhere. Trail is marked every half mile for the 9 mile length of trail. Did I mention the poison ivy?

A fun loop in either direction - maybe more fun clockwise. Take note of the day based directional signage: Monday, Wednesday, Friday, Sunday - Counter Clockwise Tuesday, Thursday, Saturday - Clockwise (Traditional) - Very rooted in some parts - Handful of man-made mini features (berm, log jumps, balance bridges/logs, teeter totter, creek bridges) some maintained better than others. - Muddy after rain as mentioned - 2-3 VERY large trees down in the trail - Poison Ivy in ABUNDANCE

This is a 10 mile loop broken in to 4 sections. Avoid in wet condition it gets a little slippery. The trail flows real well and has some cool obstacles. Fall is the best season to ride the trail. Plan for a full day of fun

My husband and I have hiked parts of the well-marked trail. It does get quite sloppy and muddy but not impassible. It is a nice walk through the woods.

Findley State Park MTB trail is a 9+ mile loop trail around Findley Lake. First, a word of advice - Avoid this trail in wet weather. Trail turns into a greasy, sticky singletrack mess when wet. With that said, this is a must ride in central Ohio for mountainbikers. Over 9 miles of very well maintained singletrack with great flow and some neat obstracles. The portion east of the lake I enjoyed a lot. Can't wait to ride Findley again!

Great for trail running - even though its a mtn bike trail. 9 mile trail - many short hills (rollers), but none long or steep. Lots of turns. Does not drain well in some areas.
