Fully paved. It's a walk not a hike. Bathroom at trailhead is open.

A beautiful trail for a short 1/2 mile walk! The overlook is gorgeous. A great trail for walking/running. The area was pretty buggy, so bring some bug spray!

The Overlook Trail was pretty good around midday today. It was not too crowded, so it was easy to social distance on it. Being that this trail is almost all shaded, it is a good option for these hot summer days.

We climbed up the Oxbow Trail after a peaceful stroll along the river. Gorgeous view at the top. Very nice hike. can get muddy at the bottom. I didn't count the stairs up but it had to be 100.

Nice, easy paved trail with a killer view! Easy access to the Oxbow trail and other Cascade Valley parks from here if you’re looking for a more difficult hike. The lookout area is currently closed due to COVID. There are no ropes blocking the overlook off, so I still see lots of people in the small overlook space.

Simple, scenic route. Paved trail that makes it easy. Leads to a pretty overlook of the river. Pretty heavily trafficked.

Wheelchair friendly! This short, easy trail has a small meadow, a frog pond, plenty of shade and a beautiful overlook of the valley. I took Dad to this park for his first wheelchair outing ever. We saw flowers, tadpoles, butterflies, dragonflies, squirrels and even a deer.

This is a great walk for an entire family. Quick and simple but you are rewarded with one of the best views in the entire Akron Metropark system. If you want more of a challenge, you can drive further down the street and park at the bottom of hill by the river and walk up to the overlook.

whoever rated this as moderate must have walked the wrong trail. this is by far the easiest trail in the metro park system.

Short, paved trail, not too exciting, but that view from the overlook deck is beautiful! Nice quick walk if you just want to stretch your legs.

Really short hike, not much to see in the winter time but still a nice area! The overlook is awesome all year round.

Running

This trail offers a 0.5 loop that's good for running on a flat surface and not having to worry about foot placement or distractions by vehicle traffic. To make things even sweeter, you get a great view of the valley if you'd like to take a rest at the overlook.

Beautiful park, walked the overlook trail with it to make 2 miles. The overlook is definitely a must see. Tree fell down on the oxbow trail so be careful.
