We did this hike on a Sunday evening. We did a slightly longer version of this adding in a bit more of the bridle trail. Trail markings are sparse, but GPS with the AllTrails map was dead on and easy to follow. Nice walk through mature deciduous forest. Some interesting fungus to be seen on some sick or downed trees. 3 shallow stream crossings to navigate. There are rocks to get across 2 of them. Explored a little of the stream area around the sulfur springs picnic area. Was a little buggy. Would have been good if we had spray, but it wasn’t too bad.

A moderately difficult trail if you choose some of the off-shoots. Affords several opportunities to cool off I. The creek bed. One area is a favorite spot for local children to wade and there are more remote areas for more challenging climbs and overlooks.

Pavilion with picnic tables, creek with waterfalls, many little bridges. Kids enjoyed walking in the creek with rain boots. Has a port-a-pot toilet.
