Very peaceful trail - the slight smell of pine, perfect temp, and quiet.

Trail is in great shape! Very crowded, however — much of the Ledges section was a slow-moving single file line.

Great flat easy trail with views of the woods. Trail is wide and maintained. Several trails branch off of this trail - Kendall Lake, Ledges, Haskell Run and Camp Butler and Camp Manatoc.

Started in the octagon parking lot top right hand corner where trailhead is located then hiked along the “connector trail” crossed the street and started the pine grove trail clockwise. We decided to connect to the Kendall lake trail loop so we took the next connector trail off of the pine grove trail soon after the trail begins. The connector trail consisted of some steps and then mostly downhill to the lake. After you cross the road take a left to begin the lake trail loop. Be sure to stay on the lake trail as there are other intersecting trails in the Kendall lake area. The lake trail was nice and added on another mile. The connector part is by far the hardest part when returning to the pine grove trail since it is mostly uphill with some steep sections. When back to the pine grove trail turn left to continue clockwise. It is mostly flat and winding through the trees. Keep your eyes open to return to the octagon parking lot via the first connector trail at the end of the pine grove loop. Total distance ended up being approx 4.25 miles, overall very nice hike!

Lots of creepy voices in the woods. I assume there are other trails nearby. Still ... creepy. Rude trail runners that don’t call out that they are passing on the left.

Very peaceful trail. Walked along a ridge a large portion of it and saw some pines.

The Pine Grove Trail is a great and easy trail. It’s not paved, but it’s mostly flat with just a few minor inclines. It’s heavily wooded and the trees look absolutely beautiful with fresh snow on them. Though I’ve never done this trail in the warmer months, it is one of my favorites to do in the winter.

Great, easy to follow trail. No hills to go up and down. Great scenery. Nothing super breathtaking, but it’s flat and the signs are so easy to follow. Will do again!

Nice loop I did in addition to the ledges. No mud, little rooty but not bad.

Nice wooded trail and the parking lot is less crowded than the Ledges parking lot on a cold day during the government shutdown. I saw one other person on the trail. Hilly in places and muddy after recent rain/melted snow. Beautiful area with some pines and many other trees and plant life.

The little brother to the famous Ledges Trail, this is a nice flat trail with changing scenery. Our 5 Y.O. Hiking Princess kept up like a champ, and there were plenty of twists and turns to keep her interest. Landscape and trail conditions were both impressive considering it’s the 5th day of 2019, it’s 50 degrees, and the government has been shut down for 2 weeks. A perfect start to a year full of adventure here in our Home Park and across the USA! Credit to my wife Amy for the photos. #SummitTrailBlazers

A very easy and nice trail to hike on. It was nice and flat with no major hills. Great for running on. It was also quiet and desolate. Did not see any people on the trail and had a lot of options to go onto other trails. Highly recommend for an easy 2 mile hike that is peaceful and isolated.

Maybe I took a wrong turn but this started out easy, but got very steep and kinda tough. Beautiful scenery, water and wildlife. Just not easy for someone with a bad knee. My dog loved it!

This is a nice, level trail, no major elevation changes. Probably the most peaceful trail I hiked today. Definitely a good place to let your mind wander!

If you go at the right time of year, there are beautiful fields of wildflowers you get to walk through. Loved it!
