pretty easy. the inside of loop closest to the stream bed has some fairly dangerous edges to watch out for but otherwise fun

Pretty nice lil trail along the lake with some nice views above and at lake level. You can also add another 1.5 miles to this trail by doing the connector Morgan's Knob Loop Trail.

Not a bad trail but I’m only giving it three stars for two reasons. First, you can here the din of I-77 in the distance on the entire hike. It just doesn’t feel very remote. Also, the hike is very close to the cabins, and again I prefer a hike with more solitude. I did the hike in December, maybe in the Spring when leaves are out it would feel more remote.

Shadbush trail is only 2 miles out and 2 back. This takes you up the road where you pick up several other trails. The final loop is difficult to follow and if you enter from the top, it’s posted as “not a trail”. Lots of ups and downs. 9.5 miles for me. And I’m beat (take into consideration I did 11 miles yesterday on trails with similar terrain.) Well worth it !

I did this trail as part of a nine mile loop with Shadbush. This section on its own is very short but I still HIGHLY recommend it. Go in the evening as the light that comes in through the pines is amazing for photos. Along with the lighting, this trail has a couple amazing lake views and some awesome rock formations to see. There are spots that are overgrown but to be honest, you’re hiking in the woods in Ohio so I never see that as unexpected.

This was a nice hike. However, several very muddy spots along way made for some treacherous steps, and decided to not do back half of hike due to overgrown brush across trail. But scenery along lake and woods were very pretty.

Ticks ticks ticks. The trail was in decent condition and was a beautiful hike. But a lot of ticks! Brushed one off myself and we’ve gotten four off our dog...so far. Make sure to check!

Went hiking with my dog and enjoyed the views. It’s short and sweet but had a lot to look at. The forest is beautiful with the pines towering over you. We also saw some turkey buzzards near the lake doing their mating stance. Even though it’s not a long hike, would recommend this hike for anyone that enjoys nature.
