Description
Waypoints (0)

The route follows an all dirt trail. It gets very muddy in sections after a day of rain. There are two water crossings, but they are usually manageable even after rain. There is a long section of stairs at the beginning if hiking counter-clockwise. If hiking clockwise, you'll cross the Everett Covered Bridge at the start. There is a large parking lot with porta potties at the trailhead.

Fun trail that has a little bit of everything. Sunnier than you might expect; bring sunscreen! Was dry enough for trail running shoes today (not that I was running, I’m COVID fat). A few creek crossings with stepping stones that are just difficult enough that you’ll feel like a ninja after getting across, not so tough that you’ll likely have any issues.

Very enjoyable walk! Nice inclines, stays a little wet if it has rained recently.

Moderate to difficult, this trail is 7 mi. The streams were easy to cross, muddy conditions in some areas but love these trails. They are beautiful!

perkins Trail had a creek crossing that was too deep to cross and the trail conditions were rough but furnace run was great. missed riding run because of the creek being too deep

We ran Furnace Run loop and part of Perkins. It was snowing and very beautiful. The part of Perkins that leads to the creek is quite steep, and the crossing is treacherous.

Despite trail conditions, thanks to recent rain/snow, we LOVED this hike. Doesn’t really matter which direction you go, there are plenty of hills to climb. The creek crossings were more challenging than expected (based on other reviews) we COULD NOT avoid getting wet feet. Plenty of shortcuts & loops to allow for changing your route. Will DEFINITELY return to try this seven (7) mile trek. That’s right... 7-miles on Runkeeper & Fitbit.
