Nice jogging trail for all skill levels. Stroller friendly. Trail closed at sand run road so round trip is 5 miles instead if 6
The parkway is a good option if you’re looking for an easy trail. Being that it is mainly a cinder path that is very wide, it’s pretty popular with runners, so expect it to be busy. Unfortunately a large section of the trail and road are closed right now.
This is a six mile trail (3 each way). Parking at Revere and Sand Run or at portage path. This is the trail that runs next to the road and through sand run park. Beautiful! Great for jogging and walking. No bikes allowed. The description needs to be updated. Not sure why it’s saying 1.2.
Great spot for runners or walkers looking to cover distance. 1/2 of the trail has multiple park green spaces you can stop at. Great on nice weekend to see lots of people out and about get their steps in! If you are less of a runner and more of a hiker, you can go to the other side of the street if you start on the north portage path side. There they have some good hiking trails with good elevation changes, you have to ford a tiny creek, and you get some decent views. There are old trails that don’t look to be in action anymore that you can go explore if you are the adventurous type!
All along the road. Good for spring when all other trails are muddy, this was flat and dry
This is a great trail for those who do not want to walk or run over stones, tree roots or get wet crossing water. It has mile marked on it so you do not have to walk the 6 miles. You can walk to the first mile marker and back for 2 miles or to the 1.5 mile marker and back for 3 miles. You get the idea It is three miles one way. It is not a loop Today the path was snow, ice, slush and bare in spots but I counted closed to two dozen walkers/runners.
