Ohio and Erie Canal Towpath: Clinton to Vanderhoof is a 7.5 mile lightly trafficked out and back trail located near Clinton, Ohio that features a great forest setting and is good for all skill levels. The trail offers a number of activity options and is accessible year-round. Dogs are also able to use this trail.

December 21, 2020This is a pretty nice section of the towpath trail. Most of it is crushed aggregate and a good portion of the trail is through a quiet, wooded area. There is also a campsite about a quarter of the way in.

December 1, 2019I’m constantly on this trail because I love running it. I always go out with my dog cause it’s very scenic, and quiet. Everyone you see on the trail is super friendly and also the trail is well maintained. Overall great trail!
June 12, 2019This is probably my favorite section of the entire towpath trail. It's a very pretty section, often a lot of wildlife to see and one with lots of local history. It's well maintained as are all of the Summit Metro Parks sections.

First to ReviewReally enjoyed this trail with my dog the other day! She LOVES to swim and there were plenty of spots for us to go down and allow her to swim a bit! We walked part of the trail, but not a lot of it. What we did walk was very nice! Very friendly people there as well.
