Munroe Falls Meadow Trail is a 2 mile moderately trafficked loop trail located near Munroe Falls, Ohio that features a river and is good for all skill levels. The trail is primarily used for hiking, walking, and running and is accessible year-round. Dogs are also able to use this trail but must be kept on leash.
From the parking lot of the Tallmadge Meadows Area, the 2-mile Meadow Trail passes by the County Home cemetery and travels through woods, a shrub thicket, wetland woods and its namesake meadow. Several boardwalks help visitors traverse the wet areas. Accessibility: The trail surface is partially paved, partially dirt/gravel, and part boardwalk. It is typically between three and five feet wide. The grade is mostly gentle (all estimated under 5%).
I love this stroll through the woods, but I will never understand what is so hard about cleaning up dog poop. We walked past at least 10 piles of poop before the wooded section. There are bags at the trailhead and trash cans along the trail. Grab a bag, pay attention to where your dog poops, and pick it up!
