A great go-to trail for those looking for an easy hike with lush scenery. Usually not too crowded.

Ok trail. Very easy, mostly flat elevation. Best part is couple of benches to watch either sunrise or sunset. Cons is that big part of the trail goes along the heavy traffic road.

I’ll be honest – I have really been putting off doing this trail because I thought it would be really boring by the sound of it. Walking around a meadow just doesn’t sound that interesting to me. However, walking around it in the snow, was absolutely gorgeous. I definitely look forward to snowshoeing it later on this winter. It looks like it would be perfect for that or cross-country skiing.

Beautiful Trail! The woods section is beautiful and varied. The meadow is especially beautiful in the late summer with its abundant wildflowers. A nice swamp area adds interest with in an eerie sort of way, lots of cool swamps critters chirping and squeaking away in there, especially at dusk. Great place overall for birders - lots of redwing blackbirds, catbirds, buntings, finches, orioles, towhees. Deer are frequently seen. Best place to hike in the early evening; finishing up the trail in the dark of a warm summer night with the abundance of fireflies is gorgeous! Can be very muddy after heavy rains however!

Trail was a bit marsh-like which is to be expected in early spring. Just be careful of your footing and keep an eye out for part of the trail that's been washed away near the board walk areas.

Love this park and will be back. Just a quick word of caution. I’m not sure if it’s just tick season now or what but I just got back from a run with my German Shepherd and I pulled 12 ticks off of him when we got home!! Just be careful with your pups! Thankfully another couple was at the entrance and warned us on our way out!!

The directions say be prepared to park and walk to the destination but there is a parking lot so don't listen to that
