HikingGreat!

A beautiful trail with a few good inclines. It’s starting to really green up in places. Very low traffic on a Friday. And it was easy to find and navigate. The only con was how much noise there was so close to a school (or some loud speaker) and there was some construction going on. Also heads up — fire tower is closed! Overall would definitely do again.

nice trail, well marked. really enjoyed the pine forest. The only negative would be the gas lines, but don't let that discourage you.

Wonderful trail, well cared for and well marked. Lots to see with a bit of challenge. Right now it's a bit snowy and wet but that made it fun!

HikingGreat!IcySnow

Amazing hike! It was challenging because of the snow/ice but we expected that going into it. Very well marked throughout. We parked right by the covered bridge which is also the trail entrance. We had our dog with us. If it wasnt for the ice, it would have been perfect for her as well. Reason being, a few hills are tough to navigate on the ice while holding a leash.

Covered Bridge to Lyons Falls to the Dam, back to the bridge, then Hog Hollow trail to the Fire Tower. took MTB trail back to make a loop. Great loop!

A beautiful trail, for the most part. Would recommend taking the Clear Fork State Nature Preserve offshoot of this trail as well—it goes through a dense hemlock forest. The main drawback of the trail is that there are gas pipes in several spots.

Disappointed fire tower was closed. Best part was having the trail to ourselves. Only one spot not marked very well, moderate hike

HikingGreat!

Beautiful trail, but fire tower was closed. Yes, the road is noisy at the beginning, and there are some gas pumps along the way. Also a lot of inclines, I wouldn’t recommend it for little kids - I passed a family with young ones & they were in tears. But I still enjoyed it. I recommend starting at the dam & taking the Lyons falls trail to this one, then taking the Pleasant Hill trail on the other side the bridge back to the dam for a longer hike & to see more of the park. I think that gives you almost 8 miles or so.

Quite beautiful hike until you start walking past multiple gas pipe lines and you can smell gas in the air
