At the top of this hike is a rock outcrop with beautiful views of the mountains. This trail will eventually be expanded to a 15 mile hike that will extend to the Shawnee State Forest.

Great small trail! If you like that sort of thing. The mileage is inaccurate on this site. It is only .8 miles long, one way according to the trailhead. However, my pedometer barely made it pass 1/2 mile. Nevertheless, the facilities are clean and beautiful at the trailhead. The view at the top is wonderful and there are a couple of rock formations that are pretty cool.

An easy hike with several switchbacks and minor elevation changes. Far too short, however.

Another nice hike on the edge of Appalachia! Exploring this area was neat. Abandoned structures, small caves and unique wildlife are some things to look forward to when walking this trail. I was confused at first because I kept hearing a cracking noise off in the distance. The noise ended up being sheets of ice on the river breaking off and slamming into other sheets of ice. Very cool!

Very nice place to hike. Scenery is excellent. It is a well-marked trail. It can be a little muddy in wetter seasons. Caves and a waterfall in the landscape and a great picnic area nearby.

Smooth, moderate trail that climbs steadily from the valley floor up to a high hill with sweeping views of the hills across and the valley below. Fairly well-taken care of trail and no trouble spots to mention. A nice trail in a quiet wilderness area.

It was a good little hike. We ended up continuing on the trail after the sign said trail end. It ended up taking us to a gravel road and we found our way back to the parking area after making the hike about 3 miles longer than it should have been. But overall it was a good hike.
