Not bad but not great...kinda avg at best and the endpoint/cave is not really all that impressive. My 3/5 rating might be a tad high.

A hike it is not and I'm not sure I would call that cave but it's a leg stretcher. Getting into the "cave" is a bit of a scramble. It's an interesting little stroll and an eye opener regarding hiking and trail safety. The memorial at the beginning makes you pause and rethink some of the things or risk you have taken in the past without thing of the consequences.

HikingGreat!

I don't know if I would call this a trail per se as you get out of your car and after just a couple feet on the trail can see the "cave" up ahead. I guess it is a cave, but reminds me more of a rock shelter. It is a scenic photogenic one, quite interesting.

Short trail. The lookout stop doesn't do this cave justice. We went past and into the cave base and it was pretty cool.

Short trail to the cave. The cave itself is pretty neat especially to a 5 yr old who wants to rock climb

Nice short trail with a good view. Kid friendly as long as they pick up their feet to avoid tripping over roots. A couple of steep spots.

Such a neat spot! We walked the creek, searched for mushrooms, and spent about an hour exploring the trail area.

I’m beginning to get into hiking, and my nearby state park is a great place to start! They put up natural barriers in the past couple of years to deter people from going into the cave, but these can be climbed over/across. I was a little scared doing so, but I have a fear of heights, so most people will be perfectly fine if wanting to get closer to the cave.

I used to be a local to Cambridge. The trail is a very short one that leads to barriers where you can barely see the caves themselves. They put up the barriers a few years back because there have been 2 accidental fatalities from people falling from the top of them. You can however easily get past them and climb back to the caves. Very cool place to be. There are also some barely worn foot paths up the side of the entrance to the cave to where you can get on top. Once you are above there is a long, very beautiful unmarked trail that cuts through the woods and leads to an outcropping on the water after about 3 miles. Its an easy hike/ climb if you are trying to get to the caves, but goes to medium difficulty if you take the unmarked trail above the caves. Make sure to be very aware of your surroundings because there are multiple drop offs on the unmarked trail as you get further into the woods. I would heavily recommend shoes/boots that are waterproof and have meaty tread on them.
