Beautiful scenery. This specific trail had closures but you can easily pick up one of the other loops. Nice trees, wide paths. Enough inclines to make it interesting.

HikingGreat!

Frozen bridle trail, paved sections and a little ice around lake trail. Excellent overall trail conditions 7.5 miles. more people on paved sections, empty on horse trail. Good bit of elevation change but not excessive for a moderate hike.

Nice trail, very quiet, easy to follow and make your own length of trail.

Beware it is muddy in the fall/ winter. Wear waterproof hiking boots. But a great hike through the woods!

It's a nice trail and well marked, but there's not a whole lot to see. I would hike it while there are still leaves on the trees; either way it is worth a visit if you are in the area. There are also nice bridle trails that you can add and areas with pine trees.

We added the 0.9 mile Soybean Loop, which was beautiful and full of fall color. I attempted to pick up the rest of this route at the end of that loop, but it doesn’t seem to exist. We took another trail back to the parking lot.

It turns out the northeast section of this trail map does not exist. The supposed connections to the main paths are covered in dense bushes, without any indication of a path. Like other have said, part of the trail is really muddy. Like, only mud. Also, parts of it do not exist. And other parts require crossing a stream. It's like, the map will tell you where you need to go, but it's up to you to figure out how to get there.

First to Review

Lovely but very muddy trail! The first half of this trail is very narrow and prone to mud. The second half--the part that crosses over the Buckeye trail--was dry and wide and relatively flat. Challenging first half and easy peasy but beautiful second half. I went on a late March cloudy and warm Saturday and saw not one other human until I returned to the parking lot. Nice and secluded. The trail is easy to follow; follow the green blazes in some parts and the green arrows in others/follow the buckeye trail when the trails intersect.
