Awesome views of the river from high above and some meaty bridges. Very pleasantly surprised!

High Bridge - perfect flatter trail for strollers. 50/50 shade. About 1 mile in stairs not navigable by stroller.

Kind of boring and not very scenic (lots of powerlines). Overall an average trail for an easier hike

Nice winter walk. Not very scenic but good views of the river since the leaves were down. Decent hill on the return trip.

Easy trail for running, hiking or taking your dogs out for a walk. The bridge is a little sketchy but seems ok for now.

Not really a destination trail. Best used to connect Signal Tree loop to Gorge Metro Park trails for those looking for a longer hike. Probably good views down into the gorge in late fall, once the leaves are down. As it was, there were still nice glimpses to be had while i was there.

Much of this trail isn’t very scenic. It’s a trail just under some powerlines, but there are some good views of the dam and of the river below. There are a lot of steps in some areas of this trail, but the rest is basically flat.

This trail is nice and easy. There’s always lots of people and you walk through a pretty bad neighborhood so I’d be careful. The river is down below and it’s nice to see but this trail is just pretty much as basic as it gets.

One of my favorite trails. Great wildflowers and lots of birds. Have seen deer near the end where it goes into the forest near the bridge. Back in the day when it was the Gorge South River trail it was quite dull, but its connection with Cascade has added a lot of interest.

I came to this trail to get a high view from the bridge but discovered that I would need to trespass to get hat view. The trail is mostly beaten down gravel along a power line. The river is just within ear shot that you hear the flow of water but can't really see it. The smells I experienced were enough to keep me away again. To get just a little but further down the trail where you actually walk on a beaten dirt path with lush green trees you need to descend down quite a few stairs.

Parking off Front st. past the Gorge parking lot, you can start the Highbridge trail here. Good view of dam.

Not a hiking trail. This is a walk over a really boring gravel road. Least favorite of the ones I've tried in Akron.

The bulk of this trail is pretty bland, although you do get to walk along the river. Lots of "city" all around you. When you get to the end, the Cascade Valley area is nice and you can hang out right on the river edge. Less traffic than the far more scenic Gorge Trail nearby.
