HikingGreat!

We started at meadows parking lot homes up to hemlock trail head approximately a half mile. The home was beautiful a few steep areas but the trees were amazing. At the end of the trail you either turn left to go out at fern lot or right to come out a cemetery which was across from where we parked. Cemetery is challenging. Fern was an easy walk out and we took the hike back to meadows

Not really a loop trail, more of a out and back. The beginning creek walk is nice. Once you cross the street to Hemlock, a pretty walk into the forest gives way to good inclines to get the blood pumping. We added the Cemetery Ridge Trail (located at the end marker of this trail) to our hike to make it a true loop for a total of 5.4 miles. We hung a right at the Cemetery Ridge Trail, and it was much flatter and easier once on that trail, with gravel and packed dirt and grass for most of the trail. There's a old cool barn from the 1800's you can see and go into on the way. On the way down, we crossed the street, and hung a left for an additional .5 miles back to the car and parking lot. 14K steps, 2.5K calories burned.

Hemlock Trail portion is rated Moderate. Trail as marked on this app is up and back down the same path, not really a loop. Once at the top of the trail on AllTrails, you can take cemetery ridge trail back down for an easier descent and to make your hike a full loop.

HikingMuddy

Rain hammered my buddy and me the entire trail. Glad I had my trekking poles and poncho. Drove an hour and half to get there at 8:30 with rain not forecasted until 3:00. No choice but to get after it and despite rain the trail once you get up on the hillside was pretty firm. Love the rock formations !!

So I did pick the hottest day to try this trail, but whoever labeled this EASY has to have their head checked! It’s some steady climbing and a good challenge. Trails are good, beautiful hike!! Definitely do it again

really beautiful, but. large portion (the northern part) along a gas pipeline, which just takes away some of the magic.

I took the trailhead that is located on the Fern trial. Beautiful park. There was one hill that was a heart pounder. The key is not to stop on the hill and don’t stop once you get to the top. Just keep on truckin.

I love Clear Creek MP. Most of the trails are in great shape and pretty scenic. Especially Fern, Hemlock, and Chestnut trails. They are probably the most difficult of all of them but also most scenic. And by difficult I only mean in terms of elevation gain. Trails are all maintained and clear. My favorite of all the C-Bus Metro Parks.

Took the Creekside Trail to the Hemlock Trail Head. Some good elevation and awesome views overlooking the Hemlock groves. Trail was in good shape despite the heavy rains last week, some steep climbing but proved no problem for the kids. Great first hike of 2016. Bonus: Perfect wooden bench at the top of the ridge, nice place to rest and overlook the ravine.
