Walk or bike from South to North on either the Maple Highlands Bike trail or the Buckeye Trail along East Branch reservoir and make a loop by returning on the other one! Wooded west bank of the East Branch Reservoir - horses often using the trail. Camping featuring a cozy lean-too or very nice prepared tent sights. Fishing is good, wildlife best seen from a boat... The Maple Highlands Bike trail extends for 8 miles to the City of Chardon to the north.

Really nice trail! Great views of the reservoir right next to it and was empty. Took the eagle trail to get a little closer to the lake and the Maple Highlands trail back. Very nice hike.

Easy and beautiful. Mostly shaded and scenic.

Nice easy place to go for a run. Pretty scenic and right on the reservoir.

Very nice, very scenic, peaceful. There's some real nice views of the reservoir, and some small feeder creeks with waterfalls. Lots of birds. I was very fortunate to see the bald eagle in his nest. The Buckeye Trail (not the Maple Highlands trail which parallels it in areas) are hard pack 10' wide and smaller off shoot trails are 3' wide hard pack gravel. Very little in the way of elevation changes, all fairly mild. Definitely not the Appalachian Trail but pretty with good exercise. Great for simple hikes and enjoyment. Like the guide says 2 miles in and 2 miles back. At a simple relaxed walking pace round trip is about 2 hours. Very nice campgrounds with great views of the lake.

Snowy day to observe eagles nesting and assess buckeye trail markings and trail condition. Good pace with experienced hikers working on the little loop.

Beautiful park. Easy trails along reservoir. Eagles in park. The Maple Highlands bike trail also runs along this park.

Well groomed 2 mi gravel trail that winds along the edge of a lake from one park entrance to the other (not a loop). Scenery is lovely with 3 additional dirt trails that lead off the main gravel trail. The entrance off rt608 also marks the start of a 15+ mile paved bike path (Maple highlands trail). Awesome place for hiking, running, dog walking, or biking. Haven't personally camped or fished at this park but they have nice facilities and seem to be fairly popular.
