Hayden Run Falls is a 0.3 mile moderately trafficked out and back trail located near Columbus, Ohio that features a waterfall and is good for all skill levels. The trail is primarily used for hiking, walking, and nature trips and is accessible year-round. Dogs are also able to use this trail but must be kept on leash.
Super short “trail” but it’s a lovely view. Be sure to hit the observation deck after going down to the falls: Walk past the parking lot, follow the sidewalk along the main road, and it will be on your left.
All boardwalk trail from the parking lot to directly in front of the falls. With the snow on the ground, this made it even more scenic. Also recommend walking the sidewalk up top from the parking lot to the 2 different overlook decks above the falls as well.
Gorgeous. Although the waterfall is dry right now, the gorge itself is absolutely stunning. From the parking lot descend wooden stairs to a boardwalk that goes through the gorge and ends at the waterfall and pool. Though the waterfall is dry right now, the pool is full and the stream through the gorge is running. Looks like the plunge pool might be fed by a spring. The gorge is absolutely gorgeous. Even though the waterfall was dry, the gorge definitely is worth visiting.
Short boardwalk through the woods, to a dried up falls. There are a lot of stairs from the parking lot.
There were no falls today since it hasn’t rained in a couple weeks.
Great outing for 3 year olds. Waterfall is beautiful. Entirely shaded. Not a lot of parking. Path is a wooden bridge and is well maintained. Steep stairs. Just be aware-no stroller, walker, wheelchairs, etc.
This was very short trail. I went when the waterfall wasn’t flowing from top; (but didn’t know that) it was dried up and not as pretty. So make sure to go after a really rainy day. (I’m guessing) . There’s no way you can be in mud because it’s wooden steps and wooded trail bridge that takes you to the end. Not worth it for me , however ..maybe for someone else who’s able to catch the views. Oh and another thing the parking has a very small area that’s right off a really busy street so it’s really a headache when you’re coming for a view and it’s nothing there. It was honestly ans in and out kind of trail and not worth it again from my standpoint.
Dry as a bone this time of year. Boardwalk all the way there.. Trash and graffiti abound.
The parking area & entrance to the trail were strange, nothing was marked Hayden Run. Also, the stairs to go to the falls is blocked with boards & a sign that says ‘closed’, I’m assuming this is because of the Coronavirus. There is a lookout up the street you can walk to to see the falls but other than that you can’t do any hiking. It would of been nice if this trail was marked as ‘closed’ on this app, we wouldn’t have driven there & wasted our time, so disappointing!
Very short walk to a beautiful waterfall. There is a little over 50 stairs but my 3yo managed them easily.
Short hike but very pretty if you want a quick gulp of some nature. The trail is all on a wooden walkway, which surprised me cause the last time I was here it was just on the ground.
