Surprisingly peaceful. Young tress and vines everywhere. Short enjoyable hike.
August 16, 2020. Decided to do a power walk here today. It is a sketchy area. That said, I didn’t see anyone else. The trail from the Ted Carrothers community building is over grown and passing behind some people’s backyards isn’t great. After that it’s not a bad loop trail. It’s definitely a forgotten city park but someone is keeping the trail clear. At one time a lot of work was done to make some decent mountain biking trails in the woods. All in all not a bad trail. The area is just too sketchy to return.
pretty overgrown most times. lotta graffiti. sometimes walk there at night to swing. might still be some run down bike jumps down the path. it is high in crime, but it's right next to the section 8 housing, which has a direct path to the park.. it also leads pretty much directly into brooke park.
