This is a rock and root covered trail. The terrain is pretty much up and down. It is a short 1.8 mile out and back walk. The rock ledges on one side tower as high as 60 feet and will sometimes be directly over your head and with the river on the other side it is very scenic. If you walk it when it cold enough to freeze the spring water flowing from the ledges it is a very cool site. There are two other trails in the area, Highbridge and Gorge, and if you combine them together you can walk a total of 6.8 miles

There are a few parts of the trail that are eroded and leave the trail pretty narrow, but other than that we really enjoyed this trail and will be back soon! I like that we can stop and view the waterfall, or go to the picnic area and eat or just relax. The views are beautiful and the trail is just challenging enough for me to get a workout but easy enough for my 3 year old to do.

Interesting but urban trail. You could hear the highway noise along most of it. Lots of wind blown trash in the area. One thing of note...if you take the trail to Front Street and turn left. Walk about a quarter mile and there is a small park with a pedestrian bridge and a observation deck over the gorge. Beautiful views and you can watch the kayakers ride the rapids. Definitely worth the little extra time it takes to see.

Short, uphill and back, can be slippery with loose rocks. Recommend a hiking staff.

This is a quick out and back that is very pretty and scenic. There is a little bit of uphills and rocks to go over but the real reason to go on this trail is the overhanging rocks that you will be next to during most of this run. If you hike it with small children that tend to run off, keep in mind that the portions of this trail drop off pretty quick to the Cuyahoga River - not cliffs, just a hill straight into the river. Typically you may only see one other person, maybe not even that. Combine this with Gorge, Highbridge and Chuckery for 9 miles of pretty easy terrain.

Great trail for a mid day hike. The trees keep it cool, the waterfall keeps it beautiful.
