Beautiful sunny and 80 degree day out. Little warm but 70% of trail is in shade. Just pack a good amount of water and stay hydrated. Trail not real muddy especially if you stay on paved routes. Very scenic and pretty.

Trail was icy today with the snow melting and refreezing at night. beautiful day and beautiful hike. rabbit Run in the back was very challenging, but fun to figure out, definitely not for everyone. can't wait to go back once the ice is gone.

Overall, the trails are well maintained and well marked. The majority of the trails are paved or gravel. There is only a small part of the trail back on Rabbit Run where you’re unable to hear cars from the road. The trail was moderately trafficked in an oddly warm winter day. The back of Rabbit Run is the only challenging part of this loop due some muddy inclines, other than that, the trail is relatively flat.

Quite a nice, enjoyable hike, a little muddy at times, but nice all told. A moderate trail with lots of signs. Could have used a trash can or two along the way. Definitely would go again.

first time doing these trails and it was after a heavy rain fall the day before so it was muddy. (to be expected) it was absolutely beautiful. the rabbit run trail has some areas poorly marked but other than that it was awesome!! I will definitely be back A LOT! ❤

Lots of trails to choose from with beautiful views of meadows, ravines, ponds, and forest. Nice nature center and rehab center. Not crowded unless there's an event going on.

Great trails! Very accessible and great for the whole family! Took my nieces 5 & 7 and they did awesome and really enjoyed the hike. We saw squirrels, turtles, salamanders, etc. Stoney Brook waterfall was pretty but you don’t get to see it from straight on but you see it from the side views. Wish I was able to see it straight on. There are a lot of steps to hike down to and back up. The entire Penitentiary Glen was beautiful and super fun to explore. My nieces loved today! The Nature Center, the animals, the Nature Exploring Area, everything was wonderful! Great outdoors summer day!

We really enjoyed hiking here. There was a nice variety of woods area, stone walk and some pavement. I normally am not a fan of pavement, but there were quite a few areas that were muddy, slippery and at a pretty good incline, so the pavement was a welcome at the end of the hike. It was a beautiful day today and great to see sunshine. There are quite a few different options to add or subtract some miles and a few nice elevation changes. It was very zen and peaceful, even though there were a lot of people.

Plenty to see on and nearby the trail. Plenty for kids of all ages, especially at the nature center at the trail head where you can see wild animals being nursed back to health. Mostly gentle, with a few steep, but short rises in the trail. It's hard to see the namesake glen from the path.

Trails are always beautifully kept and well marked. Scenery is absolutely stunning with creeks, stone ruins, and valleys. There are several trails with varying terrains: paved, limestone, and a rugged bridle trail. A great trip year round!
