A nice, dry yet muddy walk on a warm overcast day in March. One of the many great trails in the greater Akron area.

Fantastic hike in February. We saw two bald eagles, two herons, a red tail hawk, a doe and a sleeping raccoon among the other usual birds. Definitely will do again.

Loved this trail. We chose to start going left and glad we did. Starts along the river and then ascends to a moderate climb along the utility easement. On way down it is steeper but has steps which are much more forgiving on my knees. Stumbled upon this trail and it is quickly one of my favorites. Looking forward to hiking it again in the spring.

Really enjoyed the hike with the family and dog. Walked counterclockwise on the loop. It was nice ending at the river.

The trail path and surroundings are nice. We went left at the big tree. If you have dogs be very careful taking them here. There was quite a bit of broken glass in the beginning and scattered throughout that could have easily cut their paws. It's a shame people felt the need to break glass on the trail.

The river is great. If you start by going left you avoid having to hike up steps but you get a nice short but steep climb in and can end with a beautiful river view!

Great trail! It's beautiful. There's a couple hills. I love how it's by the water.

My kids and I had a great time on this trail!! They especially liked the dried creek bed where we were able to build some rock towers!!

I’d rate this a 3.5. The back half of trail by the river was lovely. Nice opportunity for pics. We also enjoyed a few off trail adventures out on the bluffs. Perfect for dogs. Not too many people. A lot of trash near the river. We made this a 3.6 mile hike by exploring the bluffs and river. I’ll be back.

The back half was beautiful but the first mile or so was just grass and dense brush.

Took my girlfriend's 4 year old here for her first hike -- 2.4 miles. As far as incline, there was maybe .3 miles of incline. I would rate this trail as easy. A simple loop and the trails are well marked. Great opportunity for kids, dogs, or biking!

Nice enough...too bad it's not marked properly. I had a hard time keeping to the trail. didn't even get to complete the trail. I took the right hand fork after the signal tree and had to double back several times. disappointing.

Nice variety trail which takes you along the river as well as through the forest and up along the ridge face. Off trail out to some of the bluffs gets you some fantastic views of the area.

Fun trail! But if you go in to winter (yes, it is open disputes what the description says) it is complete mud (understandably so). it is relatively flat with the exception of about two big hills!

Good trail. Enjoyed the solitude

Trail is walking through grass the majority of the time. River was nice although the smell was awful like a sewage smell. The trail is littered with broken bottles

Great trail with an easy start along the river leading to a challenging hill with a kicker before running atop a ridge line before descending down along the river to the finish. Fantastic change of scenery for a short loop.

Hiked this trail on 1-1-2013. Snow covered. The trail gives hikers a glimpse of the Indian Signal Tree, reportedly shaped by American Indians, before passing the Cuyahoga River, crossing the parkway and heading uphill; then it loops back to the start.

More open field than forest. A killer hill or two but open area than I prefer.
