Cedar Cliff Falls via Gorge Trail and Rim Trail is a 3 mile heavily trafficked out and back trail located near Cedarville, Ohio that features a waterfall and is good for all skill levels. The trail is primarily used for hiking and nature trips and is accessible year-round. Dogs are also able to use this trail but must be kept on leash.
This route starts at the parking area near Log House, and then traverses both the Gorge Trail and Rim Trail eastward to reach the Cedar Cliff Falls. If you'd like simply visit the falls without the hike, park at the more eastward Cedar Cliff Falls parking area. There are more trails within this park if you'd like to extend your trip.
Great park! I’d suggest taking a picture of the map before you get started. All Trails doesn’t cover all the routes available in this park, and there’s a connection between the rim trail, and the yellow and brown loops that hasn’t been updated on the map in park.
Lots if others enjoying the trail but not so much that it took away from the hike
I'm in the area for work, I googled places to hike with a waterfall, this place did not disappoint. it was a beautiful cold morning. I got there early and was the only one on the trails for a little while, beautiful place to hike, it was muddy but so worth it. I didn't bring hiking shoes ( wasn't expecting an off day) , I hiked in my white tennis shoes, lol, I slipped and fell in the mud , I didn't let that ruin my day, got up and carried on , another memory made.
Muddy, but to be expected! Loved the falls. i would recommend parking down by the log house first, taking the Rim Trail to the Gorge Trail, then back up to the Rim Trail. The gorge trail has a good cliff to walk under and a neat look at some rapids/smaller waterfalls.
It was very muddy but super fun. Would like to visit in the summer
Watch the stairs. I lost it slapstick style today. Also, my phone was on low power mode so it didn't track appropriately. Falls were beautiful today with several types of ice formations in close proximity.
First time visiting and loved it. Trails were snow packed and it was icy in many spots but still a great hike. Make sure to have good shoes and walking stick would help. We took the gorge trail then came back up the rim trail back to the falls. The falls were beautiful, since the creek is starting to freeze over.
The multipurpose trail is all paved and an easy 3.8 mile walk/hike. Ended up doing 4 miles
