These trails should be rated higher than they have been. There's a fair amount of distance and variation to the terrain but also diverse and interesting scenery. The Pine Ridge trail passes Lake Catherine and crosses a creek that splashes down rocks almost like a staircase of little waterfalls. The Pine Ridge and Salt Creek trails both follow parts of the substantial Salt Creek. All the trails feature rock formations and cliffs, some fairly huge, and the Salt Creek trail even passes under a massive rock overhang. Many trails wander through woods but these trails offer more than that.

We took the short loop of the salt creek trail. It was a mile long hike. Beautiful rock formations. I loved the scenery. Will be back soon to do the other trails. Only con is the big building I thought was a rest room wasn't. Other than that I loved it.
