This particular track is the old trail, which is still an enjoyable hike, and more challenging than the main trail. There are several large blowdowns, and you get a nice workout climbing up to the junction with the current trail. Be on the lookout for poison ivy.

My favorite trail in the Edge of Appalachia group. Great view of the Brush Creek valley at the end. Very cool rock formations. No longer an out and back. They added a loop to it with signage. We hike the upper route on the way in and the lower on the way out.

Beautiful view at the trail end. Not at all difficult hike for the average person. I would suggest boots of some type if it has rained in the last day or two as the trail is particularly muddy for roughly the first mile.

I love this hike! It’s not too hard, yet challenging and most of all very beautiful! I love to sit at the end of the trail and enjoy the view! Everyone should experience this hike!
