Bridle Trail: Norton and Wadsworth Loops is a 6.3 mile lightly trafficked loop trail located near Doylestown, Ohio that features a lake. The trail is good for all skill levels and offers a number of activity options. Horses are also able to use this trail.
December 29, 2020The trail has some spectacular views, if power lines and neighboring houses are your thing. The wooded sections are beautiful, though. My dog loved crashing through the icy horse tracks to find deep mud puddles underneath. The Eastern Road lot (where this recording starts from) was blocked off when I was there, but I guess you can park there if you feel that closures don’t apply to you. It’s easy enough to pick up the trail from other parking lots in the park.

September 12, 2020Several small stream crossings. shared trail so there are some soft spots. Great diversity: wadsworth loop goes through an area of white pine, some old growth hardwood and an old apple orchard.

August 5, 2020Nice trail for hiking and horseback riding. Some parts can get muddy and there are a lot of divets, so not the best for trail running.
July 4, 2020April 19, 2020April 18, 2020Nice hike but you have to keep in mind it’s a Bridle Trail. We were ankle deep in mood on our last mile or so on the trail. No way to avoid it. Was good for laughs though & overall a nice hike....when it’s dried up a bit.
April 4, 2020October 28, 2019I love this trail, I did get a little lost, but it was very easy to get back on course. It was muddy but it’s a trail and real trail runners, get muddy! The mud was very easy to avoid, if you moved to the side of the trail.

June 10, 2019Overall, Silver Creek is one of our favorites. There are four great trails. The bridle trails are a little more challenging than the two "regular" trails and are each 3 plus miles and they tend to be messier and less smooth (they are primarily bridle trails after all!). The other trails are very pretty and together are 3 plus miles. There's a great swimming area and fishing lake and boat rentals. Lots of good picnic areas too.

First to ReviewTough trail to run on (some big hills), good for hiking if you don't mind the mud. You can access the Chippewa Trail by Eastern Road/Red Barn.
