The forest section is beautiful. It is shaded and cool. Good place for a summer afternoon run.

This is a nice trail for all skill levels.Trails are well marked and upkept. Trail goes through a wooded area, field with wildflower view and then on a paved path. You can take a joggling stroller but it is kind of rough. Will be sure to return

This is a very beautiful trail with forest, farm, prairie, and lake/pond. In places this trail is very poorly marked. This trail has areas where you can take a dog, but I did not see a way to complete the trail without going through the “no pets” areas. There is part of me that would love to give this five stars because it was so beautiful, but the drawbacks were significant enough for me to rate it much lower.

I tried this trail today. It was great! The west side of the trail, through some wooded parts is washed out and over grown. Totally okay though because the wildlife and greenery was amazing. Definitely want to use your map because there are plenty of paths that will cross over and through.

This was a decent hike/wake. Some trails were overgrown, and muddy. So if you don’t like that, stick to the paved trail. It does cross private property at Southgate trail, takes you behind Twisted Olive, and then passed a small garden. It’s quiet and challenging. Just pay attention to your GPS.

The Southgate side of the park is very beautiful, scenic, and peaceful. we saw a large family of geese with their babies:)) I would not recommend a stroller on this path since the gravel is very large, there is little to no path signage, and there are several dramatic changes in elevation... We had a great hike with a bit of adventure!

I love this trail but due to the storm so many trees have been uprooted and it is flooded and many areas are unpassable. Lots of cleanup to do before many trails around the barn area will be hikeable.

It's a nice easy hike, not completely flat, but little elevation change. The trail varies from woodland to gravel road to assault path, with singe nice changes in scenery and environment. Several crossing trails make it a little difficult to stay on your selected trail but you really can't get lost. One spot, early in hike, you come out in the Twisted Olive parking lot and it's not clear where trail picks up, go left like leaving Twisted Olive and it's just across the bridge on right. It was dry when I hiked it but looks like some areas good get sloppy in wet conditions.

I run this trail in its entirety about once a week because I’m local. If I run the back woods and the paved trail around the park it’s around 5 miles. It’s consistently clean, safe and well marked. Sometimes it’s muddy in the back during the rainy seasons but overall it’s wonderful.

Great trails, pretty pond, amazing playgrounds, and very kid friendly. Took my 2.5 year old and she walked about a mile and we took a playground break then finished the walk. Easy trail and pretty scenery. I recommend and will return.

I thought the park was a little confusing. So many little trails here and there. I doubt I would go back. We ended up on Southgate trail. The Boettler park trail had a sign saying no dogs allowed. And we had our two dogs with us.

I was geocaching and saw many young runners. It is mostly flat and well maintained. Easy walking with some nice views. Disc golf available.
