Love this place! Great for hiking, and just exploring in general. Most of the trails are pretty well maintained but I like going off the beaten path, careful for snakes! : )

There is a trail race here in August. I have run this and connecting trails a few times. Exciting, challenging trail for a shorter run (define "short" right? At least 4 miles). The only quandary is what shoes to wear because you can incorporate the trail and the paved trail from the bike path into a run. I would wear crossover trail shoes if you plan to do more than a couple miles of paved trail. It is very helpful though to have trail shoes up on this Quarry Rim Trail and Chestnut and the Buttonbush trail nearby. And becareful NOT to run off the cliff up in the middle of Quarry Rim trail (I almost did that). Do not wear headphones either, you need to keep your eyes and ears open on this run.
