The location of this trail on All Trails is wrong. The trail head is located at 39.216236, -84.077444.. It is on the entrance drive into the park, near the maintenance buildings.

The trail is very easy flat and wide. Not at all hard to follow and no trial markings are really needed. However, a near by farm pond has completely flooded part of the trail area. And being very flat terrain the area does not drain well and the trail can be very muddy. Also the Asian long horn beetle and Emerald Ash Borer have taken their toll on the the trees. You will have to deal with down fallen trees. Finally you should note that this area is part of the public hunting area, thus, during hunting seasons, orange or other announcing colors should be worn.

Finally this is an excellent loop trail when combined with the lake view trail and some road hiking..

This trail is very flat, very muddy and very poorly marked. At one point there was a clear fork in the trail and no clear indication of which direction to go. Their were hundreds of frogs in the area and that was cool to see. We got frustrated with the conditions and lack of markings around half way and at the water tower took the access road to the Southwoods trails.

This is a very easy (NO HILLS) wooded trail without much scenery, but still a nice hike if you are looking for something quick and close to home. If you stick solely to the Beechtree trail it is a 3 mile out-and-back (1.5 miles one-way) trail; but, by combining this with the 1 mile Lakeview trail and a .5 mile juant along the park roads you can make this a 3 mile loop. Adding the Lakeview trail also adds tremendously to the scenery!

The Beechtree trail can be very muddy in places as the terrain is flat with poor drainage.

The Beechtree Trail is located in Stonelick State Park. It is a moderate trail that is approximatively 1.5 miles. This trail remains very wet after a rain due to poor drainage. It is easily lost under fall foliage and winter snow.
