We hiked 5.25 mils combining the Beech, Meadowlark and Heron Trails. A downed tree had not been cleared just east of the large pond and landslide had occurred on the South Heron Trail. Though signs redirected in both locations, each were disappointing in their execution. Overall the park is pleasant and the hikes relatively easy with a few locations having stairs. There are plenty of benches to rest with a snack. Trails run parallel to Wolf Creek and offer opportunity for photos. The Meadowlark Trail runs through hunting grounds and what we later learned was the site of a popular public swimming pool. The western side of this portion of trail follows deteriorating driveways and parking lots of that pool, giving it an eerie neglected feeling. Trails were well groomed, though some were torn up a little due to horses and wet ground. Though horses are not to be on the hiking trails, we spotted at least one sign that could have been interpreted pointing to the horse trail though it had an X through the horse and rider symbol. This park is a rough gem. Just avoid in hunting season.

Large portions overgrown with honeysuckle, signage seemed poorly maintained. Nice enough for a short afternoon walk with the dog since it's not a far drive.
